About US

Founded in 2023, Akwatribe is a mobile kayaking business dedicated to exploring the unique and diverse waterways of Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. What sets us apart is our ability to offer tours on waterways that are off the beaten path, creating unforgettable experiences for adventurers of all levels.

At Akwatribe, most of our tours are one-way journeys, designed to challenge you to embrace the adventure and push forward to your destination. With the mantra, "There’s only one way to go—forward," we encourage every participant to step out of their comfort zone and discover the joy of movement, exploration, and personal growth. Participants can appropriate their own travel or utilize our transportation service in which you will be taken back to your vehicle at the starting point.

We offer a variety of programs, including:

  • Kayak Skill Clinics: Build confidence on the water with expert guidance.

  • Guided Tours: Explore stunning waterways while learning about their history and ecology.

  • Corporate Wellness Clinics: Strengthen teamwork and promote wellness in the great outdoors.

  • Fitness Clinics: Combine kayaking with fitness for a unique and invigorating workout.

  • School Tours: Inspire the next generation with fun and educational paddling experiences. Registered Prince Georges County Vendor.

  • Community Service River Cleanups: Give back to nature by helping to keep our waterways clean.

  • Environmental Science Curriculum: Gain deeper insights into the vital role of waterways in our ecosystem.

  • Archery: Learn the art of archery with our certified coaches. All equiptment included.

Akwatribe is more than just a kayaking company—it’s a community passionate about adventure, fitness, mindfulness, and environmental stewardship. Whether you’re paddling for fun, fitness, or a greater purpose, we invite you to join the tribe and chart your course with us.
